Jhat Phat... Moong Dal Ladoo





Moong Dal also known as Hesaru Bele in Kannada is very rich in carbohydrates, fiber and protein. This sweet is very delicious and can be made within no time. It can also be called as low calorie sweet as we do not use ghee or oil for deep frying. 

Ingredients:


Moong Dal
1 cup
Sugar
11/4cup
Dry coconut pdr
½ cup
Ghee
1 tbsp
Milk
1 tbsp
Dry fruits – Almonds/
Cashew/Raisin
Handfull

Elachi
Little


  • Dry roast Moong dal till you get nice aroma
  • Now let it cool down completely, then grind it to fine powder and keep it aside.
  • Now add sugar, elachi, dry coconut powder to mixer jar and grind it to fine powder.
  • Fry almonds, cashew, raisin in ghee.
  • Now mix everything together sprinkle little milk on the mixture when mixture is still Luke warm make balls of desired shapes and store it in airtight container.

Useful Kitchen Tip of the day:

1. To Chop Dry fruits, place them in fridge for half an hour before cutting. Cut it from knife soaked in hot water for 5 min.
